What will cupid say?!?

     Cupid will have a fit if he had known that I'm one of those people who hate to celebrate his day! I was an avid celebrant when I was still single, but being a mom with 2 kids and a very "macho" guy for a husband, I have to forget setting a date on the V-DAY!. What is it with valentines day? went out with the sis-in-law this afternoon and look what we saw, the loooooooongest line I've seen infront of the church plaza. What are these people clamoring for? FLOWERS!!!.. That comes in all colors, shapes, wilted or fresh, wrap in plastics, paper or what-have-yous... It's not that I'm bitter or anything, I did received from the husband one stemmed rose, probably bought from a vendor nearby match with a heart-shaped balloon. It was a sweet gesture but now the rose is lying under the pile of clothes fresh from the dryer ( note to self: NEED TO IRON ). 

     The traffic is also crazy. I have a very small city compare to manila and traffic is kind of an alien thing to me. if we do experience some bad traffic you could just pinpoint which places to avoid and on what time. Usually these traffic infested streets are those near the schools and malls. But since yesterday it was really, really crazy! It's everywhere!... It's making me claustrophobic!.. It seems that everyone is heading for the mall or the nearest restaurant that offers "Valentine Buffet", "Dinner for Two", "Free room for 1000 worth of meal?!?" (I'm just kidding with the last one though ).

     Inspite of that I'M STILL ON MY WAY OUT after I finish this post. We'll be having dinner with the kids and the husband. And no we won't be eating out just because it's Valentines Day. Haven't prepared diner coz my back is killing me again. If we get lucky a dinner for two on saturday for a post celebration. That way cupid will not be disappointed.
