Saving Sanity

"What have I become,
My sweetest friend,
Everyone I know,
Goes away in the end,"

"And you could have it all,
My empire of dirt,
I will let you down,
I will make you hurt,"

This is some of the lyrics by one of my fave song from Johnny Cash. I just heard this after I have watched the movie "Colombiana" and it seems that the lyrics were aimed straight at the heart.  I know I should have been writing about "happpiness", "hope", "pretty things", "what I got from the mall" and all the other stuff that some will find so superficial that it doesn't matter what I write anymore. But instead I find myself writing about pains, despair, loneliness, society's problem, issues and the depressing point of view that I have with my country. It's not the country but with the people who lives in it and the government that runs over it.
While browsing for some songs in you tube I came across with one of the documentaries that GMA - 7 had aired 2 years ago. It belongs to Ms. Kara David's I - Witness report. I shouldn't been watching this kind of shows because I think I am manic - depressive. I get easily affected by what I saw or what I've heard.

So I want you to feel what I've felt after watching this. And it doesn't mean I want you to sympathize, but rather empathize. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are until we see how other's live around us minus the comforts that we tend to take for granted everyday.

I want to think about this... Just think because that's all I could do for now.........

Hurt by Johnny Cash
